We are here to embrace the power of the wind and create successful wind projects. To do so, the Kilmac team comprises specialists in all relevant disciplines. Our team have many years of experience of working in partnership with landowners, from farmers to large estates through to corporate property owners, working in a professional and friendly manner at all times.

At the helm are Directors with a complimentary skill base of in excess of 15 years experience in core business.

Derek Ross

A surveying background and meriting over 15 years experience in land development, Derek embraces his experience of operating at Senior and Directorate roles with both PLC and Privately owned companies to manage and run the Energy Division with his fellow Directors. He has a strong network base and expertise in land acquisition and site promotion to fuel the ongoing growth plan to establish Kilmac Energy as a leading player in the renewable market.

Richard Kilcullen

With a background in civil engineering Richard is a director and a co-founder of the Kilmac Group. He has built a career in construction over 20 years and during this time has gained key experience working on many major construction projects in an engineering and project management capacity and used this experience to form Kilmac Construction in 2004.

The company's ongoing success has been built on quality management systems which guarantee levels of construction process and delivery whilst adhering to stringent safety procedures. Richard has been investigating the benefits of renewable energy technologies with Kilmac Energy since 2009 and will be working closely with Derek in his overall responsibility for all construction matters within Kilmac Energy and the Kilmac Group.

Athole McDonald

With a background in civil engineering and project management Athole has secured over 20 years of experience in all aspects of the construction industry. Athole is co-founder and Director of the Kilmac Group and he continues to be instrumental in the Groups expansion and is responsible for the Commercial side of the business with a primary role in the preparation of comprehensive packages through design and build, negotiation and partnering.
